Florence Rotary Club - Endorsement Florence Rotary Club Sky Loop Committee of Forward Quest October 30, 2000 At the last meeting of the Florence Rotary Club after the excellent presentation of the Sky Loop possibilities for the Greater Metropolitan Cincinnati business area, the Florence Rotary Club voted to endorse serious community consideration of the proposal. The proposed Sky Loop Personal Rapid Transit circulator system would link the Central Business Districts and the riverfronts of Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport. We believe that this proposed technology would be the most effective transit system for moving people and products around and between the tri-city regional downtown while conserving parking and reducing street level congestion. The environmental benefits of reduced pollution would make it the most desirable of the transit choices available. This advance in our cities would put our communities on the map for the future Olympics consideration as well as demonstrating that we are forward thinking, pro-active in our leadership in our community and the world.
